Earliler today a group of three trekkers left from Owers' Corner heading towards Kokoda. Trekkers include my son Shane Thomas (guide) along with Scott Neville and Grace Jadulco.

The plan today was to reach Dump 66 where they are spending the night.

The trek got away at Owers' Corner around 9:30am. I heard from Shane that they reached their destination of Ua'Ule Creek and tonight they will be at Naoro. Everyone is doing ok. Grace knees are hurting a little bit but hey whose does'nt? so sure she will be ok.

Well done Scott, Shane and Grace, you are over half way now and just imagine how good you will feel about your achievment at the end. Although, it's the journey that will stay with you wink.gif

5th August, 2010: Sorry have been away in Kokoda and found I could not access the internet. I was there however, to meet with the group when they walked off the track a day ahead of schedule.

Scott and Grace along with their guide Shane walked off the track and into Orohaven Kokoda Retreat around 2pm in the afternoon and boy did they look happy.

They all relaxed around Orohaven on the day they arrived. The next day they went rafting down the mamba river.

On the 4th August we all drove down to Popondetta and later flew into Port Moresby.

Both Shane and Scott will be on the same flight today flying to Brisbane.
