Update 11th August:
This group have reached their destination of Ua'Ule Creek arriving there mid afternoon. Tomorrow the plan is to head to Nauro for the night. Everyone today did well according to Pat. Bronwyn apparently come across a snake which caused a little excitement at the time. Pat normally heads to Ofi Creek for his second night but have heard there is some heavy traffic coming towards them tomorrow from the opposite direction so a decision was made to head spend tomorrow night at Nauro.

This group have now reached their destination for today of Nauro Village. Clement sent a message from Maguli Ridge. A tough day today as instead of stopping at Ofi Creek the group pushed through to Naoro and everyone knows Maguli Range is a killer. Pat today was struggling with cramps so here's hoping tomorrow he is ok. With such a big day today am thinking they might do a shorter day tomorrow and head to Menari for the night. Everyone is ok and no doubt by now asleep.

Pat just phoned in to say they have now reached Menari. He said it was a really big day for everyone yesterday with the main group reaching Nauro by 5:30. Poor Pat he came up the rear suffering from cramps. He said legs; stomach etc something he has never experienced on any of his treks. He is ok today however, and said everyone had a top day and doing well. Tomorrow they plan on heading to Kagi for the night. So another tough day ahead of them up Brigade Hill, down to Efogi the half way point and then onto Kagi Village for the night. Clement Harika, Pat's 2IC is also on this trek.

Pat phoned to say they changed direction and headed via Naduri instead of Kagi. They reached their destination around 4:30 this afternoon. Tomorrow they plan on walking into Myola lookout before continuing along the track. Tomorrow night the plan is to pull up at Templeton's Crossing. Pat said everyone continues to do well. The photographs posted are not of this trek but from stock pics. Once Pat is back in Australia he will post photographs taken on this trek.

This trek has now reached Isurava Village and are all excited to be walking off the track tomorrow.  Pat estimates they should reach Kokoda between midday and 1pm.  He said all the group have done really well with no problems.  Earlier today they stopped at Isurava Memorial to pay their respects before moving down to Isurava Village.  Picture them tomorrow walking down through the wild choko fields making their way to Kokoda.

Congratulations are in order as trekkers walked off the Kokoda Trail just after 1pm today. I just spoke to Pat and their seemed to be a lot going on in the background. They were about to buy a few beers and then head down to Orohaven Pija for the night. Well done everyone from all of us here at Kokoda Trekking.
