In Topic: Trek 1101 - Group Of 6

This group have now reached Templeton's Crossing. Everyone is doing really well. Seems the two older men of the group are out in front everyday with the younger guys coming up the rear. Last night was spent at Naduri. Apparently some showers still but yesterday they had a fine day. Tomorrow they are heading to Isurava Village and the next day off the track when they walk into Kokoda.

As planned, this group are now at Menari for the night. According to Pat, he says everything is going really great and tomorrow they will pass the half way point of Efogi and head to Naduri. Today the rain stopped but when talking to him on the sat phone it was again starting to rain. A big day ahead of them tomorrow as they tackle Brigade Hill before heading to Efogi to pick up the half way food supplies. Jonathan has been toughing it out a bit more than some of the others as he is carrying his own backpack but still doing really well. Keep it up trek 1101, half way point tomorrow!

A big day was had by all today but they managed to reached their destination point of Nauro Village. When Pat called tonight he said they were all tired and that the rain continued so conditions still pretty much the same as yesterday except the hills were much tougher as they climbed Maguli Range. Tomorrow they plan on a short day and will head to Menari.

Congratulations to our latest group of trekkers who walked off the track at Owers' Corner around 11:30am this morning. At the moment they are presently being driven back down off the mountain via Bomana War Cemetery. Well done from all of us here at Kokoda Trekking. A mighty effort as a fast trek is quite a challenge and you did it.
