On the 11th July, a lone trekker by the name of Steven Cameron, left Port Moresby and headed out to Bomana War Cemetery; McDonald's Corner and later was dropped off at Owers' Corner to commence his trek alongside his guide Ernest Jinga and food porter Stafford Enjeka.  They had a big day leaving at 8am from Owers' Cnr and reaching their destination of Ioribaiwa where they spent the night.

Another big day for Steven, hot, dry track so they took their time and arrived at Menari around 7pm tonight. Tomorrow they are thinking Naduri but will let me know tomorrow where they decide to pull up for the night. This is a fast trek so they have to keep moving as on the 15th July they need to reach Kokoda.

I just got off the phone after talking to Ernst Jinga. Today they reached Efogi II - so past the half way point - they all continue to do well. Tomorrow the aim is to reach Eora Creek for the night. Apparently its raining over the Kokoda side he heard via the grapevine so is expecting walking conditions to change as they get closer the that side of the Kokoda Trail.

A tough day which saw this trek reach the Templeton's Crossing for the night. Tomorrow will be another tough day as the group are supposed to walk off the track and under the archway in Kokoda. According to Ernst estimated time after 4pm. He said they are all doing well and today the track was wet which held them back from reaching Eora Creek. They plan to start walking fairly early in the morning and were planning an early night to bed. Go trek 1072, such a hard fast walk but you are on the last leg now. Picture them tomorrow as they reach Eora Creek. Then up to Alola followed by Isurava Memorial before making their way off the track to Kokoda.

Huge effort today for this trek as they walked from Templeton's Crossing to Kokoda today and just walked under the archway around 6:15pm. Well done Steven Cameron along with Ernst Jinga and Stafford Enjeka. Congratulations from all of us here at Kokoda Trekking. Steven will overnight in Kokoda and tomorrow will be driven down to Popondetta to catch his flight back to Port Moresby.
