Booked in and waiting to fly at Jackson's Airport, Port Moresby is an Uncle along with his niece and nephew. They had an early start this morning and no doubt excited and looking forward to their walk across the Kokoda Trail. Sione Orosambo is their guide along with Ramsey Idau & Jessie Aire as their personal porters. Have a great trek! Trekkers include:
  • Genevieve Gill
  • Michael Gill
  • Malcom Cloete

This trek pulled up for the night at Deniki. Earlier they stopped for lunch at Hoi and I did not ask but perhaps they cooled off in the creek there. Today the plan is to head to Templeton's Crossing. Picture them today as by now they should be at the Isurava Memorial.

Sione just called to say they have reached Efogi II for the night. The plan tomorrow is to head to Agulolo. Genevieve had a tough day today compared to her brother and uncle but all are ok and doing well.

Sione not long ago phoned in to say they have reached Agulogo where they are camped for the night. In the background I could hear rainfall so I asked him if it was raining and he replied that yes they have experienced walking in it today. The group are all great and looking forward to their last night on the track tomorrow night with the destination for tomorrow being Ioribaiwa.

Congratulations to this group as they have just walked off the track at Owers' Corner around 9:45am. Today the plan was to be up early as they stopped for the night at Ua'Ule Creek and still had quite few hours to walking ahead of them before reaching the finish point. Parents and family friends back home, be proud of them as they took on quite a big challenge and nailed it. Later today they will fly back to Australia. Well done everyone including our very own KTL team.
