Have not heard from our guide Clement Harika this afternoon but our GPS is showing they pulled up for the day at Goodwater Campsite. So day 1 has been a short day for them. Tomorrow thinking they will head to Ioribaiwa Village or Ofi Creek for the night.

This group are now at Ofi Creek for the night and all doing well.  Tomorrow they head off to Agulogo.  At this stage only Ben is doing it tough but he is ok nothing wrong just a bit slower than the others.

Clement made contact to let me know they have now reached Agulogo. Tomorrow they will reach the half way point of Efogi. Everyone continues to do well. Clement said they are all happy and enjoying themselves as they make their way across the track.  Earlier today they walked up Maguli Range one of the toughest areas of the Kokoda Trail.  Then through the village of Nauro before heading down to Agulogo for the night.

Its been wet, its been windy, but a short time ago trekkers arrived at Alola Village. Tomorrow morning they will have a short walk to Isurava Memorial. This will be followed for a a longer walk until they finally reach Kokoda which Clement estimated would be approx 5pm. He said they are all ok and looking forward to walking off the track tomorrow.

Trekkers walked off around 4:30pm on the afternoon of the 20th July and must have been so excited that Clement forgot to call me. A few phone calls later I got confirmation all went well and they completed their successful trek.

Well done and congratulations from all of us here at Kokoda Trekking. Apparently it was raining when they finished their trek.

The following morning they flew back to Port Moresby.

Thank you for choosing Kokoda Trekking.
