This trek got away yesterday from Owers' Corner and had a short walk down to Goodwater campsite area before a decision was made to stop there for the night and to head to Ofi Creek today.  All went according to plan and tonight the group find themselves at Goodwater for the night.  The guide for this trek is Kingsley Boropi who phoned this afternoon to say everyone is doing well and enjoying their walk.  Trekkers in this group include:

Trekkers pulled up today at Agulogo instead of moving on to Menari. Tomorrow they will walk down and through Menari, up to Brigade Hill before moving on to Efogi for the night which represents the half way point. So far so good as they move along the track.

Trekkers are now at Efogi having had a tough day of walking from Agulogo to the half way point. According to Kingsley, all trekkers still have zero problems which is great news. Tonight they were going to discuss whether to go via Kagi or Naduri. They are expecting to be at 1900/Myola Junction tomorrow night.

This trek has now reached Alola Village. Tomorrow they head down to Isurava Memorial one of the highlights of the track. Then later continue on to Hoi for the night. At this stage it would seem they will walk off the track around 10am on Thursday morning. A message from Gerard Reeves: he said to tell family back home that the 3 of them are having the best time of their lives, thoroughly enjoying themselves.

This trek have moved down further towards Kokoda and are at Hoi for the last night on the Kokoda Trail. Everyone is excited and looking forward to walking off tomorrow morning, somewhere between 9-10am. Earlier today they stopped at Deniki lookout before making their way down the track to Hoi. This afternoon no doubt they spent having a dip in the creek.

Congratulations are in store for this group as they have just walked through the archway in Kokoda completing their successful trek with not one complaint from any of them, no blisters, no falls that I know of, nothing - seems they all walked with no problems or at least nothing major to report. The track Kokoda side was muddy and slippery so they have concentrated well it seems and got to experience both the dry and the wet. After a short stay in Kokoda they will make their way down to Orohaven Pija for the night. Tomorrow morning they will fly back to Port Moresby. Well done everyone from all of us here at Kokoda Trekking.
